Almost magically there is always another "good reason" to chip away at our freedoms. Each chip appears as nothing until we realise, too late, that our freedoms have been reshaped into shackles.

The rhetoric that "illegal" drugs are a scourge is just that, rhetoric. The reality is that the real enemy of society, taking a real toll, is "the war on drugs."

Relying on governments to do something about climate change is like hoping you have enough spit to put out a bushfire.

When humans reach a certain rank or level of power they become, by necessity, politicians. Their training and life skills then determine how they act.

Conception manifests.

Bark at shadows

Intermittently you need to spring up and bark at shadows until your dog instinctively responds. Your dog will marvel at your alertness.

Governments have been going to war for hundreds of years.

Who's winning?

Political Manipulation

What the population is shown, they believe. What the population is told, they believe.

What a population believes they ingrain in their heart and act as if truth itself has dictated the course of their actions.

Political action

Politicians prefer acting to action.

Creation

It is sobering what oppression can achieve. It is liberating what freedom can create.

The right way

There is no right way. There is my way. There are other's ways.

But there is only ever my choice.

God and Religion

I'm a strong believer in God and Religion, I just haven't found one yet that wasn't made up by Man.

Martini etiquette

Politeness decrees that you should slurp your Martini, once intoxicated. Doubly so, should your host insist on refreshing both of your drinks.

Unasked, government pushes the person in a wheelchair up the incline. Unquestioningly the general population nods their approval. Unsurprisingly the person in the wheelchair wants to do it for themselves.

Old wine

Old wine frequently offers little excitement. It caresses knowledge comfortably and reminds you of what you hope young wine will become. It rewards patience.

Young wine is quickly spat out or savored with raised eyebrows. It educates and entices with the promise of what is to come. It rewards patience.

Who's in charge?

In the gamut of theories on who really runs things, from power-savvy bureaucrats to men in smokey rooms, there is a constant: the "citizens" who are told they are run things - don't.

Enough regulations?

There are enough regulations. There is not enough political will to enforce them on friends and donors.

Political parties do no have ideological differences - they simply give other people's money to different groups.

If you change the cap stone on a big grey pyramid to red or blue or green you still have a giant grey pyramid.
