The problem with passing a law where government judges what is and isn't right is that you have a law in place where government judges what is and isn't right according to their interests and not yours.

It's no coincidence that those who hold high office are, by their own definition, performing the greatest service and are therefore deserving of the greatest rewards.

The rhetoric may be mellifluous but all the hound does is try to deworm itself on the grass.

The stealthy erosion of freedoms is nearly always disguised as a "benefit" to the citizenry.

When I see a flash of lightning over the horizon I should consider the likelihood of a storm.

The danger with putting a brick of absolute certainty on the accelerator of your philosophy is that the tunnel you assume leads straight to the fruit of your truth may twist.

Watching for future threats.

If you never raise your head a hundred times then you'll never see the predator the one time that it matters.

The issue with collectivist thinking is the hubris of those who propose to dictate what is best for the rest.

Underneath their distinctly coloured togas all political philosophies of the state have warts on their genitals but it's never enough to stop them pissing downwards on the little guy.

If I don't have grenades then I'd still prefer rocks over lemons.
